text on serigraph: Something unbearable makes it possible to break thru a ceiling. S. Weil, the eye is the sun in the mouth - to see is to grasp.
Provenance: Obtained the artwork in Bernal Heights, San Francisco, CA in the 90s. It is probable that the owners of the estate were acquainted with the artist, as indicated by the significant collection of prints and original artworks they owned.
Reference: Corita Art Center Archive ID: 72-06, number written at lower right corner.
Condition: Sheet toned, slight handling wear, especially on the left side of sheet, almost shows creases. A couple of scuff marks on the lower area in purple pigments. Sheet taped on top margin verso.
Notes: Frame has wear, approximate dimensions - framed: 24 1/8 x 24 1/8 inches.

text on serigraph: Spring has come back again. The earth is like a child who has memorized poems, oh many..now it seem worth the effort for she wins the prize. Her teacher was strict. We loved the white hair of the old mans beard when we asked what the green and the blue are, right off she knows every word. Lucky earth, with your holiday, and all the children coming to play We tried to catch you. The gayest will do it. Teacher trained her until she knew it, and all thats printed in roots and long unruly stems she sings in a song. Rilke at lower left area.

Condition: Sheet toning, slight buckling lower right area, and slight creases to edges. Minor paint splotches/stain towards the edges. Slight puncture at upper right. Crease at right middle area. Possible trimmed edges. Sheet taped at top verso with linen tape and taped at bottom verso, possibly masking tape formed to a double-sided tape.
Notes: Frame has wear, approximate dimensions - framed: 24 x 31 inches.
