Condition: Alabaster has weight, surface dust and dirt especially in the crevasses, handling wear.
Bio: A Florence, Italy sculptor, the artist established his studio in 1883. The atelier created sculptures for private villas as well as cemeteries and and participated in several World Fair Exhibitions, such as the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition of 1876, as well as displaying their work in the Italian Pavilion in Melbourne, Australia in 1881. One of the works created by this noted atelier, an 1892 sculpture entitled Sweet Dreams, depicts a life-sized female nude figure reclining in a hammock. This sculpture was exhibited at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco in 1915.
