The pillow is potted in the shape of a ruyi head with opposing frontal sides decorated with a pair of open-pierced double gourds. It is applied overall with a mottled blue glaze suffused with milky-blue streaks, with the glaze thinning to a dark mushroom tone on the edges. The base is incised with an inscription.
