It is inlaid with semi-precious stones, including jade, agate, jasper, and soapstone, depicting scholars objects, flowers in the base, archaistic animals, musical instruments, vessels, and other auspicious objects. These elements are reserved on a bright blue, green, and white ground, bordered with a finely carved dark wood frame.
