Late Qing Dynasty, circa 1860-1900.
Including a shaped rectangular covered vegetable tureen, another lacking cover, an ovoidal covered vegetable tureen, a low open serving dish, an oval platter and octagonal platter. All painted with various watery landscapes, pavilions, islands, boats, man on bridge, etc. between bands of cell and diaper, spearhead and ovulos.
Approximate dimensions - the largest platter: 1 1/2 high x 13 1/8 wide x 10 1/2 deep (3.8 x 33.3 x 26.6 cm) ovoidal dish 5 1/2 high x 11 wide x 8 3/4 deep (13.9 x 27.9 x 22.2 cm).
Provenance: The Estate of Evert B. Person.
Condition: The open vegetable dish with very worn appearance and white residue from being used as a planter base. All with minor surface wear, scratches, brown or black dots, nicks to oval platter and ovoidal tureen base. Ask the Asian Art Department for more information.
