English Victorian Porcelain Garden Seat or Floor Vase

Staffordshire, England.
Circa 1835.
Of waisted, hexagonal paneled form, and made in two sections, the flaring body, and the waisted base. The neck moulded with lappets and the lower body and foot moulded with low relief, stylized scrolls. Painted ground color of medium blue, and the moulding picked out in bands of pale yellow and gold. The upper side panels painted within shaped rectangular reserves to body, with extensive bouquets in polychrome enamels, alternating with panels of the blue ground color. The two sections joined by a screw and bolt in addition to glue.

Approximate dimensions: 20 high x 14 1/2 wide x 14 1/2 inches deep..
Condition: There is a crack encircling the base of the upper section, however, the units, top and bottom, are stable. Some wear and scratching. The cover or seat, absent.
