Circa 1770.
Comprising of a pair of shell-moulded, scallop-form dishes, a quatre-lobed butter tub, and a lobed, scalloped underplate. All painted with polychrome enamels with floral sprays and sprigs.
The shells impressed with Nympenburg seal mark under an I or 1 the tub with the shield flanked by the letter P with a bar and numeral 2 and the underplate marked with the shield alone.
The shells: 2 1/4 H. x 8 W. x 7 1/2 D the box 3 H. x 4 1/2 W. x 4 D. the underplate 1 H. x 8 W. x 6 D.
By descent from the Kaumheimer family, Stuttgart, Germany.
Each shell with a few light nicks and chips to the scalloped edges 1 firing crack to rim and to foot of rim and to cover interior flange.
