Notes: Frame has light wear, approximate dimensions - framed: 22-3/4 x 26-5-/8 inches. Bio: The artist studied industrial design at the University of Northern Texas, embarking on a career in teaching, while also pursuing his making of art. Influenced by artists such as Hassam, Corot and Turner, as well as Cortes, he exhibited at his first major show, The Grand /national Exhibition in NY in 1965. Known for his desire to depict his subjects authentically he would immerse himself in their lifestyles, even staying with cowboys in their bunkhouses for periods of time in order to best capture their experience on canvas. His work was exhibited in the important exhibit The All American Horse, which was shown for a year at the Smithsonial Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC.
