The Policronicon (or Polychronicon) was written by Ranulf Higden in the 14th century, and was later translated into English by John Trevisa. This translated copy was later revised and printed by William Caxton in the 15th century, of which this page was taken and presented by Dawsons Bookshop in Los Angeles, CA.
Title page reads A Genuine Caxton Leaf FROM HUGDENS POLICRONICON WESTMINSTER 1482 / DAWSONS BOOKSHOP LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA.
Approximate dimensions: Folio 13 1/3 high x 10 3/4 wide, leaf 8 3/8 high x 5 7/8 wide..
Provenance: The Estate of Evert B. Person.
Condition: Folio with minor wear to edges and corners. The leaf with darkening and stain to side, holes to middle.
