Japanese Silver Bowl and Base

The bowl is of circular foliated form with lobed sides incised with vertical lines, flanked by a pair of plum blossom handles, raised on a pentagram shape plum tree inspired foot base. The bulged rounded base bears two rectangular Chinese character stamps, one reads Zu Yin or , and incised Japanese character marking. All supported on a high plum blossom design tripod base with a tapered oval warming bowl in the center. The base of the bowl contains incised Japanese characters.
Largest diameter: 7 inches (17.7 cm) approximate weight: 1,182 grams.
