Artists Bio: Born in Detroit, moving to NYC in 1953, where she met her partner, Gloria Granger. Through Granger, she associated with artists such as deKooning and Franz Kline, as well as, Gil Evans, Sonny Rollins, and Steve Lacy, all jazz greats, who were admirers of her work. In 1972, she moved to San Francisco where she returned to making art, working in oils and acrylics. Her work is included in a new compendium entitled, The Art of Feminism: Images That Shaped the Fight For Equality.
Condition: Very good, mat having minor discoloration and wear.
