Mid 18th century.
By Martin Delaporte carved giltwood frame, silk upholstery with embroidered floral motif two matching cylindrical cushions and two blue velvet with gold brocade throw pillows.
The underside faintly impressed with DELAPORTE, also with stamped faint and mostly illegible export mark to underside.
Approximate dimensions: 40 high x 62 3/4 wide x 26 deep, seat height 20..
Condition: Overall condition is very good considering age. Previous insect damage and restoration visible to underside. Some loss and rubbing to gilt which also has repair and restoration. Some chips and rubbing to carvings.
Martin Delaporte, active in Paris between 1765 and 1784.
