Condition: Surface dust, no visible inpaint under UV light, abrasions to edges of canvas very minor dirt pockets.
Bio: Born in Los Angeles, the artist studies at California State University in Fullerton. In 1982, he moves to NY and by 1984he comes a prominent figure of the East Village art scene there. He becomes known for his paintings of faceless figures which often comment on contemporary political, social and psychological issues. He also designs album covers for groups such as Guns and Roses and The Ramones and designs numerous products for companies such as Swatch, Alessi, Rosenthal and others. The artists work is in the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim, The Brooklyn Museum, The National Gallery in Washington, DC, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Yale University of Art Gallery, among others.
