The two handled vegetable tureen with figural knop, together with a pair of Dresden busts of Bourbon prince and princess, and an assembled pair of Vienna style busts of child dancers, atop associated neoclassical stands.
To the tureen underside: underglaze blue crossed swords and asterisk mark, with a dash, iron red 44, and various indistinct initials and slices to unglazed underside. Printed initial marks SP Dresden SP under crown in warm black to the Bourbon busts, impressed 0/1949. Female dancer marked with underglaze blue beehive, impressed 38. Male dancer, incised beehive and impressed 56.
Approximate dimensions: The tureen 7 1/2 H. x 11 1/2 W. x 7 1/4 D. 11 1/2 H., the Bourbon busts, overall.
Condition: The tureen cover with chips and losses to scattered fruit and flowers. A few glaze blow outs resulting in black dots, one of which is painted with a manganese flower to interior of base. Chips and losses to flowers on female dancers headdress, small chip to hat, male dancer. Minor surface wear and scratches to glaze and enamel., throughout. Some grit and dirt.
