Custom-made Scalamandre Love Bird pattern drapes, swags, and valance with linen linings and silk soutache and gimp. This color way known as Beige and champagne, but appears to have a pale blue field. Lined in white cotton.

Provenance: Historic Filoli Estate, Woodside, CA. According to Scalamandre, the Love Bird pattern was introduced in 1937, as a reproduction of the curtain panels of the Apollo Room of the Raleigh Tavern at Williamsburg, Virginia.
Condition: Very good condition.
This grouping of drapes and swags was installed at Filoli in the Reception room.
