Pearlware and ironstone. Transfer printed in medium and dark blue in a variety of romantic, Chinoiserie, avian, British rural patterns including a coffee pot and cover, a sugar bowl and cover, a jam pot and cover, two creamers, a platter, a soup plate, a basket-woven plate, and various other plates.
Impressed and stamped variously for makers such as R. Hall, Riley, Clews, Cornfoot, Colville Co., and some with numeral only.
Approximate dimensions: The coffee pot 10 3/ H. plates 8 to 10 diameter. Oriental platter 7 1/2 x 10..
Provenance: Property of a Long Time Member of the Transferware Collectors Club.
Condition: Most of the articles in very good condition, and with crisp transfers. Platter with significant stacking wear and rubbing to inner rim one with professionally reglued and overpainted rim chip one creamer lip with L-shaped crack to lip. All items with minor scratches, crazed glazing, black dots, etc.
