Inscription to lockplate reads US / H Aston and MADE IN CONN 1849, illegible inscriptions to wood above the trigger, PROPERTY OF LEE MONTGOMERY SEDALIA MISSOURI impressed to the wood near the trigger, CCVEST impressed to the buttplate and wood stock. Some other later carvings and marks.
Approximate dimensions: 14 inches long..
Condition: Patina to the metal. Surface wear throughout. The mechanism seems to be in working order.
