Provenance: From the Eisenhower memorabilia collection of Peter Larmon Benziger, grandson of Sigurd Larmon. Sig Larmon rose to become the Chairman of Young and Rubicon, the largest advertising agency in the world, and the National Vice Chairman of the Citizens for Eisenhower Presidential Campaign in 1952 and 1956. Ike and Sig were longtime close friends, as were their wives, Mamie Eisenhower and Kay Larmon.

The speech mentioned in the letters likely refers to his radio and television address to the American people on the new tax program. This correspondence offers valuable insight into Eisenhowers thoughts, relationships, and process.
