Provenance: From the Eisenhower memorabilia collection of Peter Larmon Benziger, grandson of Sigurd Larmon. Sig Larmon rose to become the Chairman of Young and Rubicon, the largest advertising agency in the world, and the National Vice Chairman of the Citizens for Eisenhower Presidential Campaign in 1952 and 1956. Ike and Sig were longtime close friends, as were their wives, Mamie Eisenhower and Kay Larmon.
Condition: Wear to frame, lacking glass. Large bleached spot with discolored aura. Some darkening to edges and minor discoloration overall.
This was a gift from Eisenhower to Sigurd Larmon, recognizing his efforts in the The Citizens Committee to Keep New York City Clean.
