signed, inscribed Susse Frs Edts Paris and cire perdue at base.
Condition: Weighted bronze, surface dust/dirt, handling wear, including scratches towards the bottom.
Bio: Student of sculptor Prosper LeCourtier. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1910-1914 until the outbreak of the first World War. Considered to be one of the leading French Animalier, he primarily produce sculptures of birds, dogs, wild cats and other wild animals.
